  • Local AI Assistant. The user interacts with the operating system using natural language. The AI processes commands such as "open Downloads folder", "search for sales report 2024", or "close idle processes". All conversation stays on the device without sending data to external servers. The response executes directly within Windows.
  • Integrated File Manager. Searches, previews, and organizes documents, images, and videos across all hard drives. Displays thumbnails for PDFs, Office files, and common image formats. Includes filters by date, file size, and file type. Previews open without additional software.
  • One-Click Performance Boost. Analyzes system state and performs cleanup of temporary files, disk defragmentation for HDDs (optimization for SSDs), and deactivation of background processes that consume resources. Shows estimated improvement percentage before applying changes. Includes real-time CPU, RAM, and disk monitoring.
  • Smart Application Launcher. Indexes all installed programs from the Start Menu and desktop. Launches them by typing only the first few letters of the name. Also displays recently used files for each application. Recognizes commands like "open Photoshop and the last saved project".
  • AI Document Editor. Creates and edits text documents, spreadsheets, and presentations without Microsoft Office. Includes grammar correction, sentence autocompletion, and summary generation via local AI. Exports to DOCX, ODT, TXT, and Markdown formats. Auto-saves every 60 seconds.
  • PDF Generator. Converts any editable document, image, or web page to PDF format. Also extracts specific pages, merges multiple PDFs, and adds watermarks. The AI can rearrange content based on instructions such as "create PDF with pages 2,5,8 from this document".
  • Reminders and Notifications. Alert system programmable by time, file location, or system event. Example: remind to perform backup every Friday at 6:00 PM or notify when a process finishes downloading a file. Notifications appear in Windows Action Center without consuming additional resources.
  • Semantic File Search. Finds documents by their content, not only by file name. The AI indexes text inside PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and images using OCR. Supports queries like "invoice with number 2024-789" or "contract containing confidentiality clause". Indexes are stored locally.
  • Process and Service Control. Lists all active processes, Windows services, and scheduled tasks. The user can terminate suspicious processes, pause non-essential services, or change their startup type to manual/automatic. Includes per-process resource consumption analysis with historical graphs.
  • Task Automation for Repetitive Actions. Records sequences of actions (clicks, keyboard input, file openings) and executes them on demand or on a schedule. The AI can modify the recording to adapt to changes in file names or paths. Supports drag-and-drop between windows.
  • Power and Sleep Management. Schedules hibernation, sleep, or shutdown based on rules: "shut down when battery drops below 15%" or "sleep if no keyboard activity for 45 minutes". Also shows which applications prevent automatic sleep mode.
  • Network and Bandwidth Monitor. Displays applications consuming background data. Allows limiting upload/download speed per program or blocking unwanted connections entirely. The AI suggests time slots for automatic updates to avoid peak hours.

Ozus PC Assistant development began in 2018 by an independent team of software engineers based in the United States and Eastern Europe. The first public stable version was released in January 2020. The program is written primarily in C++ for low-level kernel operations (process interaction, memory management, file system access) and in Python for local artificial intelligence modules. The user interface was developed in C# on .NET Framework 4.8. The original team consists of three main developers and two AI system collaborators. The current stable version is 4.2, released in March 2026.
