PlotStudio AI

PlotStudio AI — Free Download. Agentic data analytics platform
PlotStudio AI is a desktop application for agentic data analytics. The user uploads a CSV or Parquet file, asks a question in plain English, and a team of specialized AI agents plans, writes, and executes Python code, handles errors, and synthesizes findings into a structured report with interactive visualizations, statistical tests, and executive-grade narrative. A single question can trigger 5 to 15 code executions across multiple analytical stages.

  • Automatic data profiling. After loading a dataset, the tool generates a quality assessment (Clean, Usable, or Needs Cleaning), an AI-written executive summary, and suggested research questions. Every column is profiled with its distribution, missing values, and outlier detection, providing a complete view of data condition before any analysis begins.
  • AI-suggested questions. The platform groups questions into categories: exploratory, business, statistical, and predictive. Each question maps to specific columns in the dataset, eliminating the blank page problem. One click executes the complete analysis without prompt engineering.
  • Multi-agent analysis with self-correction. A team of specialized agents works together: one plans the investigation, one writes Python code, one executes and detects errors, and another interprets results. The system reads error messages, diagnoses the problem, and rewrites code iteratively until the analysis is complete.
  • Domain intelligence. PlotStudio AI automatically detects the knowledge domain of the dataset: econometrics, finance, healthcare, and nine other fields. It applies domain-specific methods such as instrumental variables (IV/2SLS), GARCH models, or Cox PH regression automatically, upgrading statistical models when the domain requires it.
  • Visual data lineage. A directed acyclic graph (DAG) shows how transformed datasets derive from each other. Transformation types are color-coded: cleaning, aggregation, joins, and more. The full provenance chain allows tracing any result back to the raw original data.
  • Analytics library. Every executed analysis is saved in a searchable library. Items include clickable references linking to plots and datasets. The user can star analyses, organize them into folders, and browse by research thread, preventing loss of tracking from previous work.
  • Cross-analysis knowledge synthesis. When multiple analyses are executed, the system synthesizes executive summaries that connect findings across different studies. It detects cross-analysis patterns and every claim is cited to its source, eliminating fabricated or unverifiable information.
  • PDF export with embedded charts. Final reports export to publication-ready PDF format. They include embedded charts, formatted tables, rendered LaTeX equations, PlotStudio branding, data source citations, and page numbers. Stakeholders who do not use the tool receive the complete report.
  • Jupyter notebook export. Any analysis can be exported as a Jupyter notebook with all generated code and outputs. The file is fully reproducible and can run in any Python environment. It acts as a bridge between AI-assisted and traditional workflows.
  • Local privacy with own API keys. The application runs on the desktop as an Electron app. Data never leaves the user's machine. The user can provide their own OpenAI API key or use managed credits. All generated code is visible, and the user can edit and re-run anything.
  • Plot customization. Eight theme presets are available for visualizations, plus per-trace controls to adjust colors, styles, and layouts. The analyst can modify the appearance of each AI-generated chart without leaving the workspace.
  • Cross-dataset analysis. The tool allows asking questions across all previously performed analyses, even if they come from different datasets. This function connects findings from diverse sources and discovers patterns that would otherwise be missed.

The development history of PlotStudio AI began in 2023 when the team at AR5 Labs identified the need for a tool that mimics the workflow of a real data science team. The main developers come from backgrounds in econometrics, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. The application is written primarily in TypeScript and Python. The desktop frontend is built with Electron, while the analysis engine and AI agents use Python along with libraries such as pandas, numpy, statsmodels, and scikit-learn.
