  • Class schedules with bi-weekly patterns. The schedule module allows for configuring academic semesters with automatic detection of scheduling conflicts. It supports alternating week A/week B patterns, assignment of classrooms and teachers, with visualization in list or grid format. The application automatically calculates the corresponding week based on a configurable start date.
  • Task management with dependencies. The calendar organizes exams, quizzes, papers, projects, and homework with support for daily, weekly, and monthly recurrence. Dependencies between tasks allow secondary due dates to adjust automatically when the primary task is modified, maintaining the coherence of the work plan.
  • Required grade calculator. The grading system allows for setting weighted categories (exams, quizzes, assignments, participation) and automatically calculates the minimum grade needed on a future assessment to achieve a specific final grade, considering the percentage weight of each activity.

Class sessions generate separate automatic reminders, and the entire alert system recalculates when dates change due to dependencies.
  • Smart import via offline OCR. The premium feature allows extracting schedules, tasks, and grades from photographs, PDF files, or pasted text. Optical character processing runs locally on the device without needing an internet connection, and the detected data can be reviewed and edited before saving.
  • Structured analysis dashboard. Advanced analytics include a workload heat map, grade trend analysis, quality of free time slots in the schedule, task completion rate, and a summary of overdue items. Each displayed metric links directly to the corresponding section of the application.
  • Study plan generator. The premium planner generates structured study schedules based on four templates: Balanced Plan, Deadline Sprint, Target Grade Plan, or Custom Plan. Generated sessions can be readjusted individually, showing completion progress and a count of pending, overdue, or skipped sessions.
  • Visual adjustment modes. The application incorporates four specific modes for color vision deficiencies (deuteranopia, protanopia, tritanopia, achromatopsia), as well as a high-contrast mode, reduced motion, text scaling from 0.5× to 2.0×, and eighteen interchangeable color themes.
  • Optional sync with local storage by default. All data is stored locally on the device using an encrypted database on platforms that support it. Account creation is optional and only necessary to activate synchronization between devices, without sharing information with third parties or using advertising tracking.
  • User-controlled export and backup. The application allows manually initiating data export and backup creation processes. No automatic information transfers are performed without explicit user intervention.

The development of Student Trove began in 2026 by a team of South African developers specialized in educational applications.
