  • Multiple input formats. KCC processes PNG, JPG, GIF, CBZ, CBR, CB7, and PDF files, as well as folders containing these formats. It also supports ZIP, RAR, and 7Z archives.
  • EPUB 3.0 generation. Produces EPUB files that comply with modern standards, so they can be used on virtually any e-reader on the market.
  • MOBI creation with Panel View. For Kindle users, it generates MOBI files with a panel-by-panel reading function, ideal for reading comics and manga.
  • E-ink screen optimization. Applies image transformations, such as grayscale conversion, contrast adjustment, and sharpening, to improve how pages look on E-Ink devices.
  • Manga mode (right to left). Reverses the reading order to match the traditional format of Japanese manga.
  • Webtoon mode. Includes a dedicated analysis system for Korean comics in the vertical-scroll Webtoon format.
  • Double-page processing. Lets you split double-page spreads into single pages or rotate them to keep them together.
  • Smart resizing. Adjusts image size while preserving the original proportions, according to the resolution of the target device.
  • Support for multiple Kindle models. Works with devices such as the Oasis, Voyage, Forma, Aura, Touch, Keyboard, and Glo, among others, as well as Kobo and other e-reader profiles.
  • Optimized CBZ output. Creates CBZ files specially prepared for viewing on e-readers.
  • KindleGen requirement for MOBI. To generate MOBI files, KCC needs KindleGen (or Kindle Previewer) to be installed on the system beforehand.
  • Accessible graphical interface. Provides a visual interface that makes it easy to select files and configure settings, along with a command-line version for batch conversion.
  • Cross-platform and open source. Runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and is free and open source software.

Kindle Comic Converter was originally developed by Ciro Mattia Gonano and later maintained together with Paweł Jastrzębski as a tool for Kindle users, but it has evolved into a more universal solution for digital comic readers. It is important to note that KCC is not affiliated with Amazon and is not a replacement for Amazon's official Kindle Comic Creator. The project is still under active development, regularly adding new features and compatibility improvements.
