MCP (Model Context Protocol) support. AnySlate implements the MCP protocol that enables artificial intelligence agents to connect directly to the workspace. Language models can read, write, create, and manage Markdown files as if operating within the application, enabling automated workflows and deep contextual assistance.
Syntax highlighting for 190+ languages. The editor incorporates a syntax highlighting engine that recognizes over 190 programming languages. This facilitates the inclusion of code fragments in technical documents with language-specific colors and formatting.
Mermaid diagrams. AnySlate renders Mermaid diagrams directly within the editor. Users can create flowcharts, sequence diagrams, Gantt charts, and other graphical representations using plain text syntax.
LaTeX formulas. Native support for writing mathematical expressions using LaTeX syntax. Formulas render in real-time, allowing creation of academic and scientific documents with complex mathematical notation.

AnySlate began development in 2024. The application is written in TypeScript using the Tauri framework to achieve native performance across multiple platforms with reduced resource consumption. The development team consists of engineers with prior experience in productivity tools and collaborative systems. The first public version was released in 2025, initially focused on local Markdown writing experience.
