  • Dual or single panel layout. The application allows switching between a single-panel interface with complete directory tree and a dual-panel mode for working with two folders simultaneously. Panel arrangement can be adjusted to facilitate file comparison and transfers between locations.
  • Advanced tab system. Each panel supports multiple tabs, enabling work with several paths at the same time. Tabs can be duplicated, closed, or reorganized, streamlining workflows across different project directories or storage drives.
  • Turbo mode for transfers. The copy and move engine utilizes hardware-aware I/O optimizations based on system specifications. It accelerates operations involving thousands of files while maintaining operating system stability during the process.
  • Duplicate file search. Includes a scanner that locates identical files by content, name, or size. Analysis can be performed across multiple locations simultaneously and displays grouped results to facilitate storage cleanup.
  • Regular expression filtering. The instant search field supports Regex patterns for locating files with complex criteria. It also enables filtering by text content within files and applying date or size constraints.
  • Disk image mounting. Native support for mounting and unmounting ISO, IMG, and VHD/VHDX virtual disk files. Mounted drives appear as regular disks in the system and can be explored directly through the interface.
  • Archive file management. Works with ZIP, 7z, TAR, and Zstd formats without requiring external software. Allows compression, extraction, and content preview of compressed files as if they were regular folders.
  • Integrated visual themes. Includes a collection of themes such as GitHub, Ayu, Monokai, and Solarized. Interface appearance adapts completely to the selected theme, including icons, sidebar colors, and syntax highlighting.
  • PowerToys Peek integration. Full compatibility with Microsoft's quick preview tool. Supports smart activation and real-time file status checking to preview documents and images without opening them.
  • Network drive management. Dedicated tools for connecting and disconnecting network drives directly from the file manager. Simplifies mapping of shared resources in local or enterprise network environments.
  • Automatic updater. The application periodically checks for new versions published on GitHub. Updates are downloaded and installed in the background, keeping the software current without manual user intervention.

Oxyde development began in 2023 by developer Carlton2001. The system core is written in Rust, leveraging its safety and performance for file system operations. The graphical interface utilizes the Tauri framework combining Rust with web technologies, employing React and TypeScript for the presentation layer.
