  • Local execution. Oglama runs entirely on your machine. The company does not track, log, or collect usage data. Users have full access to their local logs and data if they need to debug or audit their automations.
  • Credential protection. Credentials, tokens, and logins never leave the user's computer. The platform does not store, manage, or have access to sensitive data. The code written, the modules used, and the websites automated are visible only to the user.
  • Predictable pricing. The subscription includes all functionalities. No usage-based pricing, no locked features. Run as many agents as you have purchased, install any modules, and complete your tasks.
  • Community development. Users can build modules that automate tedious tasks and share them. Other community members can install and use these modules after verification. It is also possible to share modules privately outside the repository using the import and export feature.
  • Code transparency. Every installed module includes fully auditable source code that the user can edit. There are no black boxes. Only the user knows exactly what is running on their computer at all times.
  • Deterministic approach. The platform uses local, small-sized large language models only when strictly necessary, for tasks that cannot be accomplished with traditional logic. The result is fast, private, and reliable automation.
  • Isolated agents. Agents are autonomous browser windows operating in isolated sessions. For security reasons, agents do not have direct access to the file system or the data of other agents. Input files must be specified manually as needed.
  • JavaScript modules. Agents run small JavaScript programs called modules. Each module defines inputs, outputs, functions, and a finite state machine. Modules interact with the web page using the dollar sign object ($) to pause execution, communicate with local language models, retrieve user inputs, and save results.
  • Finite state machines. Complex browser interactions are modeled as finite state machines. When a user starts an agent, the state machine begins its execution from the entry state and jumps between states until an error occurs or no next state is specified.
  • Input and output management. Each module can define up to 20 inputs and 20 outputs. Supported types are: integer, string, boolean, table, and files. Inputs for each run are specified in the Configuration tab, and outputs are collected in the Results tab.
  • Flexible collaboration. Users can publish their modules to the module repository for others to install and use. They can also import and export automations as .oglama.yaml files, providing privacy and complete control over the work developed.
  • Integrated code editor. The platform includes a built-in source code editor that allows installing, running, and editing modules directly. The editor supports autocompletion, auto-formatting, and linting for all available methods and properties.

Oglama was developed as a Chromium-based desktop application that enables automating web actions. The platform's foundational principles are based on the ancient Roman architectural concepts of firmitas (strength), utilitas (utility), and venustas (beauty), applied to the design of automation software. The application is built using standard web technologies and JavaScript for module execution, leveraging the Chromium engine for web page interaction. Development began with the goal of creating an automation tool that prioritizes user privacy and code transparency over other considerations.
