  • Multi-protocol IP camera connection. AnyCam allows adding and viewing cameras that transmit using ONVIF, RTSP with H.264, H.265 and MPEG-4 codecs, as well as HTTP with MJPEG stream. To connect a camera, only the IP address or domain name is required, while the port number is optional. The application automatically selects the remaining connection parameters, simplifying initial setup without manual advanced adjustments.
  • Video wall viewing mode. This function displays all connected cameras simultaneously in a grid of thumbnail-sized tiles. The operator can monitor dozens of video sources on a single screen, suitable for security centers, retail stores, or multi-location surveillance. Each tile updates the real-time stream without significant performance loss.
  • One-to-many viewing mode. Allows viewing a single primary camera in detail while keeping the remaining cameras visible in side or bottom thumbnails. This layout is useful when attention must focus on a critical point without losing sight of other monitored areas.
  • Slideshow mode. AnyCam automatically rotates the display between all connected cameras at configurable time intervals. Each camera shows in full-screen mode for several seconds before switching to the next. This modality suits monitoring a large number of devices with a single monitor, reducing the need for multiple screens.
  • Individual full-screen camera view. Allows selecting any camera from the list and expanding its video stream to the full application window or full-screen mode. The user retains quick access to recording controls, screenshot capture, and motion detection activation without leaving the enlarged mode.
  • Continuous 24/7 recording. AnyCam records the video stream uninterruptedly throughout the day. Files automatically split into manageable segments (by default at set intervals) and store on the local hard drive. This modality guarantees no event is missed but requires more storage space compared to event-based recording.
  • Scheduled time-based recording. The user can define specific time periods (for example, from 10 PM to 6 AM or only weekends) during which the application activates recording. Outside those intervals, the system remains in view-only mode without consuming disk space. Scheduling supports individual weekdays and custom hour ranges per camera.
  • Motion detection recording. AnyCam analyzes changes in the video stream and only initiates recording when motion is detected in the scene. Sensitivity parameters and detection area are adjustable per camera. This function drastically reduces the volume of stored recordings and simplifies later review of relevant events.
  • Indexed video archive with built-in calendar. All recordings (continuous, scheduled, or motion-based) automatically link to timestamps and dates. The application displays a visual calendar where days with recordings appear highlighted. When selecting a date, the user accesses the list of clips sorted chronologically. Playback can occur within the AnyCam interface or with external media players compatible with the stored video formats.
  • Remote access via mobile application. AnyCam includes native connectivity with its iOS and Android application. Once the connection is configured (via QR code or manual link), the user can view all cameras in real time from any location with internet access. The mobile app allows viewing the video wall, receiving motion alerts, and consulting the recorded archive remotely.
  • Remote access via web browser. Any modern browser can connect directly to the IP address of the computer running AnyCam, after authentication, to display camera streams. This functionality does not require installing additional software on the client device, facilitating supervision from laptops, work computers, or public kiosks.
  • Telegram bot for remote surveillance. AnyCam integrates a native Telegram bot. After linking the application with a Telegram account, the user sends commands to the bot and instantly receives live images or snapshots from the cameras. The bot can also send automatic notifications with a photo at the moment motion detection activates.
  • Instant screenshot capture. From the main interface or during archive playback, AnyCam allows taking screenshots of the current frame. The image saves in PNG or JPEG format to the folder configured by the user, without affecting continuous recording. This function serves to preserve visual evidence of a specific event without extracting a complete video.
  • Support for public and private IP addresses. The application accepts both local IP addresses as well as complete domain names or public IPs. Additionally, the port can be specified if the camera uses a non‑standard port for the RTSP or HTTP stream. AnyCam automatically attempts common streaming URIs if the user provides only the base address.

AnyCam is developed by the AnyCam Ltd. team, a company specializing in Windows video surveillance software. The first stable version of the program was created and released in 2016. Since then, the product has received multiple updates focused on expanding supported protocols and remote access features. The core of the application is written in the C++ programming language to ensure efficient handling of high‑resolution video streams with low latency. The graphical interface components use the Qt framework, while the motion detection engine and video archive management are implemented in pure C++ with system calls to the Windows operating system for direct disk and network access. AnyCam runs on Windows 10 and later versions, on both 64‑bit and 32‑bit architectures.
