  • Focus Mode. Allows locking the computer to work exclusively in a single application. When activated, it prevents switching to other windows and is password-protected, helping to avoid distractions during tasks that require deep concentration.
  • Time OUT. A feature that displays break reminders through a full-screen overlay at user-configurable intervals. Its purpose is to prevent eye strain and physical fatigue by promoting healthy work habits.
  • Visual Analytics Dashboard. Provides donut, pie, and bar charts representing time consumption per application. It enables clear visualization of usage patterns and the distribution of daily or weekly activity.
  • Daily Timeline View. Shows a navigable day-by-day history with detailed session information. Each entry includes the application used, the active window, and the exact duration, facilitating the reconstruction of the workday.
  • Compare Mode. A tool that makes it possible to compare computer usage between two different days. It identifies changes in digital habits, such as increased or decreased time in specific applications.
  • Weather Widget. Displays a five-day weather forecast integrated into the main interface. It can auto-detect the location or be set manually, offering contextual information without switching programs.
  • Shutdown Timer. A function that allows scheduling an automatic system shutdown. Useful for limiting nighttime usage or logging off after completing long-running tasks.
  • P2P Transfer. Enables direct data transfer of activity records between devices using WebRTC technology, without intermediate servers. It facilitates local synchronization of the history.
  • Integrated Notepad. Includes a simple system for taking multiple notes within the application. It allows recording quick ideas or tasks without needing to open an external program.
  • Discord Rich Presence. Automatically shares the current activity status (application in use) with friends on Discord, directly from the system tray.
  • Android Tracking. A version for mobile devices that uses the native Android Usage Stats API and WorkManager for background recording. It displays a persistent notification indicating that tracking is active.

The development of TimiGS began to provide an open-source, privacy-focused alternative to existing activity trackers. The desktop application is built with Tauri v2 (Rust) and Vue 3 with TypeScript, while the Android version is developed in Flutter 3.24. The local SQLite database ensures the user maintains complete control over their information, with no telemetry or unauthorized external transmissions. The project is published under the TimiGS Public License v1.0 by BANSAFAn and has encouraged community participation in its development since its early versions.
