Agenda Widget

Agenda Widget — Free Download. Calendar and tasks on Windows desktop
Agenda Widget is a desktop application for Windows 10 and 11 that displays the Google calendar and tasks in a floating panel. The program eliminates the need to switch between browser tabs to check meetings or deadlines. It uses a glassmorphism design and visually integrates with the wallpaper. Synchronization with Google is bidirectional and is done through OAuth authentication, without sending data to external servers.

  • Real-time bidirectional synchronization. Agenda Widget maintains a direct connection with the user's Google account. Events added or modified in the web calendar appear immediately in the widget, and tasks completed from the application are marked as done in Google Tasks. The process works without manual intervention and does not require scheduled periodic updates.
  • Secure authentication via Google OAuth. The program uses Google's standard authorization protocol. The user logs in through a secure browser window and grants specific permissions to read and modify their calendar and tasks. Personal credentials are not handled by the application; all exchange is done directly with Google's servers using encrypted tokens.
  • Local data storage without intermediary servers. All calendar and task information is downloaded and saved exclusively on the user's computer hard drive. There are no developer-owned servers that receive, process, or store personal data. Privacy is guaranteed by the absence of information transmission to third parties.
  • Unified view of events and tasks. The interface combines calendar events and pending tasks from Google Tasks into a single timeline. Items are displayed sorted by date and time, allowing you to view the entire day without switching between different applications or tabs.
  • Glassmorphism theme design. The widget window uses transparency and blur effects that adapt to the desktop background. Dark, light, and the characteristic "Glass" mode are available. The appearance matches the modern aesthetic of Windows 10 and 11 without interfering with the visibility of the underlying content.
  • Direct actions from the widget. From the floating interface itself, tasks can be completed with a single click, marking them as done. For calendar events that include video conferencing links (Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams), the program offers a button that directly opens the meeting in the default browser.
  • Support for multi-day and all-day events. The agenda visually differentiates between events spanning several days, all-day blocks, and appointments with specific times. This distinction facilitates planning and avoids confusion between different types of commitments.
  • Free resizing and positioning of the window. The user can adjust the widget's size by dragging its edges, as well as move it to any area of the desktop. The position and dimensions are remembered between sessions, adapting to each person's particular workflow.
  • Low system resource consumption. The application is developed to run continuously without penalizing computer performance. Background processes have minimal impact on CPU and memory, allowing the widget to remain active alongside other professional or entertainment applications.
  • Full seven-day trial period. New users can download the program and test all features without restrictions for one week. After that period, a perpetual license can be acquired through a one-time payment. There are no recurring fees or subscription models.
  • Native integration with Google Calendar and Google Tasks. The application connects exclusively with the mentioned Google services. It does not support other calendar providers such as Microsoft Outlook or Apple iCloud. Integration is limited to personal or G Suite accounts that use the Google ecosystem.
  • Always visible but non-intrusive window. The widget remains on the desktop above other windows or can be configured to stay behind. Its compact design avoids hiding critical work areas, and its transparency allows glimpses of the underlying content while keeping calendar information legible.

Development of Agenda Widget began in 2023. The programmer and designer Alex Faustov conceived the tool to solve the personal need of always having the calendar in sight without resorting to the browser. The application is written in C# and uses the .NET framework, ensuring optimized performance in the Windows environment. The first versions were released for Windows 10, and later full compatibility with Windows 11 was added, taking advantage of the operating system's new graphical capabilities.
