AutoPrintEmail connects your inbox directly to the printer. Every message and file attachment that meets specific conditions is printed on paper without manual intervention. The desktop application, available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, processes mail locally and applies configurable rules for each mailbox. • Automatic printing by rules. The user defines filters (sender, subject, keywords) and the program prints only the emails that match these criteria. It supports multiple conditions to fine-tune the selection.
• Support for file attachments. Documents sent as attachments (PDF, DOCX, JPG, etc.) are detected and sent to the print queue along with the message body or independently, depending on the configuration.
• Secure local processing. All content is downloaded and processed on the user's computer. There is no data retention in the cloud. The connection to the mail server uses standard protocols (IMAP) with TLS encryption.

• Local print queue management. Before being sent to the physical printer, jobs appear in a visible queue where the user can pause, cancel, or reorder documents.
• Detailed activity log. Maintains a history of all processed emails and completed print jobs. Includes timestamps and the final status (printed, skipped, error).
• Support for digital signatures and encryption. If an incoming email is signed or encrypted with S/MIME, the application can verify the signature or decrypt the content before printing, provided the certificates are installed locally.
• Compatibility with multiple printers. Allows choosing which physical printer to use for each rule. One sender can be directed to the laser printer and another to the label printer.
• Filtering by specific headers. In addition to the subject and sender, rules can be defined based on other headers such as Reply-To, CC, or message priority.
• Print to file format. In addition to physical printing, it offers the option to save the email and its attachments as a PDF in a designated folder, maintaining the rule structure.

The development of AutoPrintEmail began in 2025. The need arose in industrial environments where email orders had to be printed automatically in warehouses without manual intervention. The program is written primarily in C# using the .NET Framework for its Windows version and .NET Core to ensure cross-platform compatibility with macOS and Linux. The graphical interface was built with Windows Forms in the early versions and was later migrated to Avalonia UI to maintain a unified codebase. The application uses open-source components such as MailKit for secure mail handling and Newtonsoft.Json for configuration management.
