MailSignal

MailSignal is a lightweight Windows taskbar utility that monitors multiple email accounts (Gmail, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and shared mailboxes) and displays the number of unread messages directly in the notification area. There is no need to keep browsers, Outlook, or other heavy Electron-based applications open. It uses secure OAuth2 authentication, encrypts tokens using Windows DPAPI, and never reads the actual email content, only checking the unread count. It is free for 2 accounts with a 5-minute polling interval. The Pro version (a one-time payment of $25 USD) allows for unlimited accounts and polling every 10 seconds.

• Support for shared mailboxes (Google Workspace and Microsoft 365). MailSignal allows you to add shared mailboxes from Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. Administrators can delegate access, and the application will display the unread count for those mailboxes as if they were independent accounts.
• One-time payment model, no subscription. The Pro license has a one-time cost of $25 USD, with no recurring fees. This model unlocks all features, including unlimited accounts and fast polling, without relying on monthly or annual subscriptions.
