Planner 5D is a design application for creating floor plans of homes and spaces. The tool enables the development of interior decoration and exterior architecture projects. Planner 5D began its development in 2011 by a team from Lithuania. The founders are Alexey Sheremetyev and Sergey Nosyrev. The first version was released in 2012. The software is primarily written in C++ for the core of the 3D rendering engine and uses JavaScript for web interface components. Mobile applications are developed with native languages for each platform.
