  • Quick recording with F2. Allows you to instantly capture the screen coordinates of a mouse click. Pressing the F2 key starts recording mode, and pressing it again saves the exact cursor position for later playback. This process records only the spatial location on the screen.
  • Quick execution with F3. Activates the automation process without needing to interact with the main graphical interface. By pressing F3, the program begins to repeat the recorded sequence of clicks at the stored coordinates, maintaining focus on the target window.
  • Always-on-top window. The application's interface remains in the top layer of the desktop during operation. This feature ensures the program controls stay accessible while working in other windows, such as a web browser.
  • Repetition settings. Offers control over the number of cycles the automated action will run. The user can define a specific iteration count, allowing from a few repetitions up to several thousand, depending on the task's requirements.
  • Customizable time intervals. Incorporates an adjustable timer that introduces a pause between each automation cycle. This interval is necessary to allow web pages to process the action and update their interface before the next click.
  • Universal operating mode. The tool operates at the system level, interacting with screen coordinates. This methodology allows it to function in any desktop application, website, or email client running in the same environment, without dependencies on specific APIs.
  • Emergency stop. Includes a safety mechanism to immediately halt execution. By dragging the mouse cursor to the top-left corner of the screen, the automation process stops instantly, preventing unwanted actions.
  • Dark mode design. The user interface features a color palette with a dark background and light text. This visual configuration reduces eye strain during prolonged use and improves readability in various lighting environments.
  • Local and private execution. All processing occurs on the user's device. The application requires no connection to external servers, does not transmit data, and does not need login credentials for online accounts for its basic operation.
  • Complex pattern automation. Although its primary use is single-click repetition, the methodology allows for recording and playing back multiple sequential positions. This enables the automation of workflows requiring interaction with several interface elements in a set order.
  • Activity log. Maintains a history of operations performed during the session. This log includes details such as the number of cycles completed, start and end times, and the status of each iteration for tracking purposes.
  • System portability. The application is packaged as a standalone executable for Windows systems. This feature eliminates the need to install additional dependencies or Python runtime environments on the end user's computer.

The development of Playlist Wiper began in 2025 as a solution to a specific problem: the lack of a button to remove all videos from the YouTube "Watch Later" list. The initial creator is MLT-solutions. The application is programmed in Python, using the Tkinter library for building the graphical interface and PyAutoGUI for automating mouse interactions. The decision to use Python was based on its capability for rapid development of cross-platform automation tools and the availability of libraries specialized in user interface control.
