RadioRec is a cross-platform desktop application for playing and recording Internet radio broadcasts. The program allows you to manage a list of stations, listen to live streams, and schedule audio recordings. • Playback of streams. The application plays MP3 audio streams from Internet radio stations. Users can listen to broadcasts in real-time with play, pause, and stop controls. The interface displays information about the currently playing station.
• Live and scheduled recording. RadioRec performs audio recordings from any online radio broadcast. Recording can be started manually or scheduled for a specific date and time. The system saves the files in MP3 format in the directory selected by the user.
• Radio station management. Users can add, edit, and organize their personal list of radio stations. Each entry includes the station name, the audio stream URL, and specific settings. The list is stored locally for quick access.
• Station schedule analysis. A function that extracts program guide information from radio station websites. It uses XPath and CSS selectors to locate specific elements in the HTML code of the pages. It displays current and future programs for each station.
• Visual selector editor. Includes an integrated tool to create and test content analysis rules. It presents the HTML source code with syntax highlighting to identify elements. It allows validating selectors before applying them to the station.
• Cross-platform compatibility. The application works on Windows 10/11 operating systems and Linux distributions. The code runs in any environment with a Java Virtual Machine. No additional system component installation is required.
• Visual interface themes. RadioRec incorporates light and dark color schemes for the graphical interface. The appearance is based on the FlatLaf library for Swing components. Users can switch between modes according to their preference.
• Multilingual support. The user interface is available in several configurable languages. It includes complete translations for English and Czech. The language can be changed from the application's settings menu.
• Integrated Java Runtime. The installation packages contain a specific version of the Java Runtime Environment. It eliminates the need to have Java installed on the operating system. It guarantees compatibility and stable operation.
• Recording configuration. Allows defining specific parameters for each recording session. Includes options for filename, audio quality, and duration. The settings apply to both manual and scheduled recordings.
• Schedule display. Shows the information obtained from the analysis of program guides in a structured format. Displays times, titles, and descriptions of the content. The information is automatically updated from the web sources.
• Saved recordings management. Provides access to the history of recorded audio files. Displays metadata such as date, duration, and size of each recording. Allows playing the recordings directly from the application.

RadioRec was developed by Marek Liška and has been available since 2023. The program is created using the Java programming language with the Apache NetBeans development environment. The graphical interface is implemented with the Swing library and components from the FlatLaf library.
