Keyboard activation. The pointer is activated by pressing the left and right modifier keys at the same time, or by holding down a single modifier key. Supported keys are Control, Option, Shift, Command, or combinations of them.
Available versions. The free version includes only the "Spotlight" mode. The Pro Edition (in-app purchase) unlocks 19 different pointer types for greater visual variety.
Presentation integration. Works with Keynote and PowerPoint, which is handy when you forget your physical laser pointer during a talk.
Screen sharing. To use it with video conferencing software (Zoom, Meet, Teams), you must share your entire screen rather than individual windows.
Pointer customization. Pro users can choose a pointer style by clicking its name in the list of available types.
Pointer management. Pointer types can be added, removed (using the + and - buttons), and reordered to suit your preferences.
Drawing action. When this option is enabled in Preferences, certain pointers let you draw paths by clicking and dragging the mouse.
Keyboard controls. The Delete key erases drawn strokes, and the ←/→ or ↑/↓ arrow keys switch to the previous or next pointer type.
Size adjustment. The pointer size is changed by scrolling the mouse wheel vertically.
Parameter locking. The buttons next to the sliders let you lock the size and opacity to keep your settings consistent.
Restoring purchases. In the Pro Edition tab of Preferences, the "Restore" button recovers your purchase history if you reinstall the app.
Keynote setup. To avoid conflicts, disable "Allow app switching during presentation" under Preferences → Presentation → Interaction, and hide the cursor in Keynote's settings.

ScreenPointer runs as a resident app in the macOS menu bar. The developer warns that support for older versions of macOS may be discontinued without notice.
