  • YouTube TV interface. VacuumTube loads the same fullscreen interface used on smart TVs and game consoles. Large tiles, simple navigation and a clean layout make it easy to browse from a distance.
  • Gamepad and keyboard control. You can navigate the interface with a game controller, a remote-style device or a regular keyboard. This makes it a good fit for a home theater PC or a media setup connected to a TV.
  • Account sign-in. Sign in with your Google account to access your subscriptions, history, playlists and recommendations, just as on a regular YouTube TV device.
  • Ad blocking. The application can block ads during video playback for a more uninterrupted viewing experience.
  • SponsorBlock support. Sponsored segments, intros and other non-content parts of a video can be skipped automatically using community-submitted data.
  • DeArrow integration. Clickbait titles and thumbnails can be replaced with more accurate, community-provided alternatives.
  • Fullscreen playback. The app is built for fullscreen use, with high-resolution video and smooth playback on supported hardware.
  • Cross-platform support. VacuumTube is available for Linux, Windows and macOS, so you can use the same experience on different devices.
  • Configurable options. Several behaviors of the client can be adjusted through its settings and configuration, depending on your preferences.
  • Open source. The full source code is publicly available, so anyone can review it, report issues or contribute improvements.

VacuumTube was created by shy1132 as an independent open-source project. It is built with Electron and wraps the official YouTube Leanback web interface rather than using its own media engine. The source code is hosted on GitHub, where users can report bugs, suggest features and follow new releases. VacuumTube is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
