Secondary application bar for Windows. Displays system information, controls, and quick access in a configurable side panel. Allows adding widgets such as a performance monitor, media controls, weather, and application shortcuts. It runs on the desktop, offering a compact and customizable interface.

• Active window title. Displays the title of the window currently in the foreground. The text updates automatically when the user switches applications or documents. Provides information about the current task.
• Applications. List of predefined programs with shortcuts. Application icons can be sorted and grouped. Clicking launches the corresponding software from the bar.

• Media. Controls and information for currently playing media content. Shows the title, artist, and album. Includes buttons for play/pause, next, and previous, compatible with common players.
• Volume. System sound level control. Offers a slider to adjust the intensity and a mute button. Shows the active audio output device.
• Weather. Updated weather information. Displays the temperature, weather conditions, and forecast for a configured location. Retrieves data from online services.
• WiFi. Status of the wireless network connection. Indicates the network the computer is connected to and the signal strength. Allows viewing available networks and managing the connection.
• Notifications. Counter for Windows system notifications. Shows the number of unread alerts from the action center. Provides quick access to review them.
• Power menu. Access to system power management options. Includes commands to shut down, restart, suspend, and hibernate the computer. Facilitates logging off or locking the screen.

The YASB Reborn project is a development started in 2022 by amnweb. It constitutes a rewrite and evolution of the original YASB project. The code is written in the Rust language, with interaction via Windows system APIs. The focus is on creating a stable sidebar with low resource consumption.
