AeroFTP is a file transfer client developed as a modern alternative to legacy applications. The program is built with Rust Tauri and React, supports 16 connection protocols including FTP, FTPS, SFTP, WebDAV, S3-compatible storage (AWS, MinIO, Backblaze), Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, MEGA and Box. The application integrates modules for bidirectional synchronization, dual-panel file manager, Monaco code editor, terminal, AI assistant compatible with OpenAI, Claude, Gemini and Ollama, and AES-256-GCM-SIV encryption vault. It includes a media player with GPU-accelerated visualizations, an integrated image editor and support for 47 languages. • AeroVault credential encryption. The encryption vault uses the AES-256-GCM-SIV algorithm to protect access credentials and stored files. Data remains encrypted at rest and keys are zeroized in memory when closing the application.
• AeroPlayer integrated media player. The player incorporates GPU-accelerated visualizations and supports the most common audio and video formats. It allows playing files directly from remote servers without prior full download.
• AeroImage image editor with side panel. The image editor is activated by the pencil button in the toolbar and works with local files. The 280-pixel side panel contains three collapsible sections: geometry, adjustments and effects.
• Crop tool with Photoshop-style overlay. The crop function shows four darkened panels around the selection area, eight resize handles at corners and midpoints, and a real-time label with natural pixel coordinates. Cropping is confirmed with the Enter key, Escape key to cancel.
• Color adjustments with live CSS filters. Brightness controls allow adjustment between -100 and +100, contrast between -100 and +100, hue rotation between -180 and +180 degrees, each with an individual reset button. The preview applies CSS filters without server calls.
• Blur and sharpen effects. Gaussian blur is configurable between 0 and 10, sharpening between 0 and 10 is applied when saving. The effects also include toggles for grayscale and invert colors.
• Save As dialog with six formats. The export dialog offers PNG, JPEG, WebP, BMP, TIFF and GIF formats. For JPEG, a quality slider between 1 and 100 is included. Options allow saving a copy with the _edited suffix or replacing the original with prior warning.
• Image processing pipeline in Rust. The Tauri process_image command executes operations in sequential order: crop, resize, rotate, flip, color adjustments and effects. Processing is done in separate threads with a maximum input size guard of 100 MB.
• Internationalization with 49 i18n keys. The complete image editor interface is translated into the 47 languages supported by the application, under the preview.image.edit namespace, including all tooltips and labels.

The development of AeroFTP was started by the axpnet team. The official repository is on GitHub under the name axpnet/aeroftp. The first version of the program was published in 2023. The software is written primarily in the Rust language for the backend with the Tauri framework, and uses React for the user interface. The application is distributed under the GPL-3.0 license.
