Tilf was created by Dario Camonita and is developed primarily in Python using the PySide6 framework for the graphical interface. The project started in 2023 as a lightweight solution for creating pixel graphics without the complexity of more advanced editors. The source code is hosted on GitHub under an open-source license that allows its use, modification, and distribution.
