Folder Preview is an extension for macOS Quick Look. It displays the contents of folders directly in the quick view window. It provides a detailed list of files and subfolders with information such as size, type, and modification date.

• Quick folder preview. The main function shows the internal contents of a folder when activating Quick Look with the space bar. This view lists all the contained items, allowing immediate inspection without needing to open the folder in a new Finder window.
• Detailed file information. For each listed file, specific metadata is displayed. This includes the name, file size, type, assigned tags, and the last modification date. Column headers can be customized to show or hide these parameters.

• Column customization. The data shown in the view is organized into configurable columns. By right-clicking on the header, the user can choose which columns are visible and change their display order.
• Icon size adjustment. The interface allows selecting between two different sizes for item icons. This option helps optimize the display space within the Quick Look window.
• Hidden files control. By default, hidden system files are not shown in the list. There is a setting to enable their display when necessary for advanced administration tasks.
• Thumbnail preview (Pro). In the Pro version of the application, visual thumbnails are generated for more file types. This includes documents, images, and video files, facilitating visual identification of the content.
• Open and copy files (Pro). The Pro version incorporates direct actions from the Quick Look window. It allows opening files or copying them to another location without leaving the preview, streamlining the workflow.
• Folder navigation (Pro). This feature allows accessing the contents of listed subfolders without closing Quick Look. By double-clicking a subfolder, its contents are loaded within the same preview window.
• In-place customization (Pro). Extension settings can be modified directly from the Quick Look window in the Pro version. This eliminates the need to open the main application to change configurations such as expansion depth or column visibility.
