  • Image preview. Shows a high-quality preview of image files such as JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP and other common formats. The preview includes information about dimensions, file size and color depth.
  • PDF document viewing. Lets you read PDF documents without opening an external reader. Displays the full content of the file with zoom and scroll support.
  • Audio and video playback. Plays media files in MP3, MP4, AVI, MKV and other formats. Playback includes basic controls such as pause, forward and rewind.
  • Office file preview. Supports Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents, displaying the content without opening Microsoft Office applications. Shows text, tables and charts.

  • Windows Explorer integration. Works directly from the File Explorer context menu, letting you trigger the preview with a click or the spacebar.
  • Full-screen mode. Lets you expand the preview to full screen for better viewing of images and documents.
  • Plugin support. Offers the ability to extend its features through third-party plugins, adding support for additional formats.

QuickLook was created in 2017 by independent developers and is written in C#. The project is actively maintained on GitHub, where regular updates with improvements and bug fixes are published. The application is designed to be lightweight and fast, using minimal system resources.
