• Hotkeys. Configuration of keyboard shortcuts to control the volume, mute, and equalizer of the foreground application. Includes a function to mute all background applications with a single command.
• MIDI compatibility. Control of all functions via external MIDI devices. Use MIDI knobs and faders to adjust device and application volumes, with support for absolute and relative encoders.
• Priority devices. Automatic configuration of default input and output devices based on a priority list. The system automatically switches to the appropriate device when connected to the system.
• Virtual volume. Implementation of keyboard volume controls for DisplayPort monitors, HDMI TVs and receivers, as well as other devices that lack physical volume controls.
• Sleep prevention. Actively maintains the system's default audio device to prevent playback delays. Prevents loss of audio segments during the device wake-up process.
• Do not disturb mode. Automatic muting of background applications when a specific application is in the foreground. Functionality designed for video conferencing where eliminating sound interruptions from other applications is required.

Sound Control was developed by StaticZ Technologies for macOS systems. Development began in 2017 as a solution for advanced audio management in professional environments. The application is programmed in Objective-C and Swift, leveraging macOS's native audio APIs. Updates maintain compatibility with recent versions of the operating system, including macOS 15 Sequoia.
