• Three-step wizard. The creation process is structured in an interface with three sequential steps: photo selection, configuration of effects and transitions, and specification of output parameters. This approach organizes the workflow.

• Insertion of captions and text. Offers the functionality to add subtitles or text captions over photos. The text is positioned on the slide, with basic formatting options like font selection, size, and color, to add context or descriptions.
• Soundtrack integration. Enables the integration of audio files (MP3 format) as background music for the presentation. The audio is synchronized with the total duration of the presentation, playing from start to finish during the final export.
• High-resolution video export. Generates video files in MPEG-4 (MP4) and MPEG-2 formats. Supports standard output resolutions (Full HD 1080p), 4K UHD (2160p), and user-defined customizable resolutions. Maintains the original quality of photos during encoding.
• Instant preview mode. Includes an internal player to preview the complete slideshow within the program's interface. This mode allows you to see the result with all effects, transitions, and synchronized audio before proceeding to the final rendering.
• Project management. Allows you to save the slideshow configuration in its own project file (.esp). This file stores the paths of the photos, the sequence, applied effects, audio configuration, and export parameters, for later reopening and modification.
• Professional Edition features. The paid version removes the watermark that is overlaid on presentations exported with the free version. It also disables the display of advertisements within the application interface.
• Slide order customization. Allows you to rearrange the sequence of photos by dragging within the project list. This function determines the order of appearance in the final presentation.
• Zoom and cropping adjustments. Offers tools to apply digital zoom to specific areas of a photo and define a focus frame. These adjustments can be animated to create a Ken Burns effect (slow zoom and pan) during the slide display.

The development of Easy Slideshow began in 2005 by the German company ASCOMP Software. ASCOMP's programmers created the application using the Delphi programming language (Object Pascal) with Embarcadero Technologies' development environment. The team maintains periodic software updates to incorporate support for new image and video formats, as well as to ensure compatibility with successive versions of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
