Instant capture. Gyazo allows you to take screenshots using a customizable keyboard shortcut. When you activate the capture, an interface overlays the screen allowing you to select the desired area. The image is processed and uploaded automatically without any additional intervention.
Cloud storage. All captures are saved on Gyazo's cloud servers with automatic backups. The system organizes content by creation date and allows searches using text recognized in the images.
Link sharing. Each capture generates a unique link that can be shared via email, messaging, or social networks. The links remain active as long as the account exists and the content is not manually deleted.
GIF recording. The animated capture function allows you to create GIFs of up to 30 seconds in duration. This feature records on-screen activity including cursor movements and interface changes.
Capture history. Gyazo maintains a chronological record of all captures taken from the account. The history shows thumbnails organized by date with information on resolution and file size.
Annotation tools. The built-in editor allows you to add text, arrows, geometric shapes, and blur effects to captures. Annotations are applied directly to the image before final saving.
Text recognition. Integrated OCR technology detects and extracts text present in screenshots. The recognized text is indexed to allow searches within the capture history.

Gyazo was developed by Helpfeel Inc., a company founded in 2009 by Keisuke Sawada. The initial version was released in 2010 as a basic screenshot service. Development began using Ruby on Rails for the backend and standard web technologies for the frontend. The desktop application was initially built with C++ and later migrated to Electron for cross-platform compatibility.
